Students
I have a long history of working with undergraduate and graduate research assistants (RAs). I see good mentoring of student researchers as an important part of my job. My RA's gain experience in data collection & analysis, literature review writing, participant management, and the application of ethical research practices.
Currently, I am not taking on volunteer research assistants for the 2025-2026 academic year. It is possible this may change.
HONOURS: For 2026-2027, prospective honours students are welcome to reach out as early as Jan 2026 to arrange a meeting for consideration as potential honours students.

Amy Johnson
My interest in research flourished during my undergrad work. I found that I really enjoyed exploring my interests in-depth; finding all the information I could about a topic. I took on every research assignment as if I were writing a book about it. I found this to be challenging, yet rewarding. But, I am an explorer by nature. I love hiking and adventuring with my family; exploring the mountains and new places I visit. I have a need to engage with the world hands-on, and this is why I find research so rewarding - the investigation of it all.
